The 2006 club AGM was held on 8th October 2006. The agreements made at the AGM are shown below.
We agreed that it was best to keep the club informal. There are currently only three posts needed by the club. The following people were elected unopposed:
UKAHFT Team Captain - Dave White
"Organiser" - Richard Chase
Webmaster - Bob Morris
Thanks to Bill Hall for his efforts as the previous UKAHFT Captain. Bill stood down earlier in the year.
The format for the coming season will remain largely unchanged. There is only one significant difference - there will be a Winter and Summer league, each consisting of six events rather than a single League covering the whole year. The first event in the Winter League was 8th October, before the AGM.
Some clubs based in the South East are thinking of creating a South East Winter League. As well as taking part, we would have to host an event. The AGM agreed that we should get involved if possible. More details as we get them.
An event is planned at Basingstoke on 5th November. It is an inter-club event. Any club taking part can field up to 15 shooters, at least one of whom needs to be shooting a "springer". Richard chase volunteered to be our "springer". The AGM agreed that we should try to put forward a team. More details soon.
Bob Morris will be maintaining a mailing list to allow us to email people with events, short notice changes, etc. If you want to be added, email bob at webmaster@ford-hft.co.uk.
The AGM agreed to continue to ask for a £1 fee for each event. This was felt to be a reasonable amount and is important to provide funds for targets and other expenses.
One use of the money will be to give regular shooters one of the club t-shirts.
Richard Chase is organising branded goods such as baseball caps, winter hats and possibly fleeces. These will be available to purchase and an initial amount will be bought by the club to be sold on. If you're interested, talk to Richard at one of the events, or email the Webmaster (see Contacts) and I'll pass your request on. Regular shooters will get a t-shirt for free. As a special note for Rob, they're going to be green, so you can't have a black one.
We're currently third, but only a couple of points clear of North Oxon. If you're booked for Newbury, please do your best to get there (and score well, of course!).
We need to field a team for next season - we'll need to nominate people fairly soon. If you can make any of the events and would like to shoot for your club, please let Dave White know, or email the Webmaster (see Contacts)
Volunteers to help set out the courses for the club events would be gratefully received. It is interesting to see what you have to consider when laying out a course, so there is something in it for you. If you can help, just come along in the afternoon on the Saturday before the shoot.
